Domestic violence in it’s normal sense, between a man and woman is well documented in the media and is quite common. The most documented cases are usually perpetrated by the man in the relationship against the woman. Acts of domestic violence against the man by the woman are not so well documented, but same-sex violent abuse is hardly ever reported and goes unpunished in many cases.
The reasons for male abuse and same-sex abuse going unreported are mostly for the same reasons Dr Jeffrey Lant, CEO Worldprofit, mentions in his article today.
No form of violence or abuse is acceptable in a civilised society but when that violence is actually reported and is not dealt with appropriately and sympathetically by the authories, this makes the situation even worse. Dr Lant in his article today puts forward some thoughts about what needs to change to make sure same-sex domestic violence is handled in the same way as normal domestic violence.
