It’s been a while since I said I was going to try to cut back on the level of email I receive, so thought I should give you all an update on how it is going.

It’s not an easy answer really. I have managed to cut down on the number of email lists I’m currently on and therefore have reduced the amount of email I receive from that area, but overall the amount of email I receive has increased. This is due to the amount of Advertising Websites, Traffic Exchanges and Safelists etc. I’ve joined to try to get visitors to my websites. Unfortunately some of them do not allow the use of gmail or any other bulk email accounts so I have had to use my own email. So the amount of email I’m getting has gone up but it is not all bad. Many of the sites I’ve joined allow me to click through the emails to earn credits on the SOLO ads they are sending me.

The outcome of all this extra email is that I have been able to advertise more of my own websites, which was the original purpose on joining the Traffic Exchanges in the first place, so I can’t really complain. I have had to get into a routine of when I read the SOLO ads so that I’m not spending all day reading ads and not look after my websites. So now before I do anything else in the morning I download my email, then read all the SOLO ads and click though each link. This sets my credits up for the day, so my own websites are getting seen. Some of the SOLO ads are earning me quite high credits, in some cases 50, 60, 70 or even 333 credits in one case. 10-15 ads to read in these programs everyday therefore doesn’t look too bad when I earning around 750-5000 credits every day. It only normally takes about 30-60 minutes first thing in the morning anyway.

I’ve logged into most of the exchanges etc and setup website links and banners, but still need to write some SOLO ads for myself to send out as some of the exchanges allow me to send out 2-3 SOLO ads per week. Some of them are also not working out as well as I’d hoped, as the only way I can earn more credits is to actually surf, which as I’ve already mentioned I don’t want to do. I’m happy reading SOLO ads but do not want to devote the time to surf as 1) I hate it and 2) most of the time when you are surfing you are only receiving a low credit of 0.5 or lower. I’m sorry but I’ve got better things to do that surf 1000s of ads just to get a few hundred credits. At least the SOLO ads reward you with a higher credit. So I’ll be looking at some of the more painful exchanges and seeing what I can do with them. Unfortunately on some of them I’d taken up the OTO which looked good at the time but now I’m not so sure.

Another benefit from all the SOLO ads I’m viewing is that there are quite a few reasonable programs advertised through them, so I have also found more opportunities to earn extra money. More about these later once I understand what needs to be done to promote them. The downside is that there are also some interesting looking opportunities which turn out to be not so good but at least I’m getting to recognize which ones these are more easily.

So all in all, cutting down on the email I receive has not worked entirely but the extra email I now get has had a good effect on my advertising. So that you too can benefit from all my testing of these exchanges and rather than list all the various exchanges I’m earning on in a blog post I’m going to add a links page to the blog shortly with a quick review of each exchange, so you can join any you wish.

In my next post I’ll also hopefully have a FREE ebook for you from which you can earn some money yourself.

So until the next time
