Today’s article is another in our Blogs and Blogging category, by Dr Jeffrey Lant, CEO Worldprofit.

In this one, which can be found here: Articles / Blogs and Blogging / Straight Talk About Blogging, he has focused on blogs for non-profit organisations.

Even though a non-profit organisation is not selling a physical product or service, they usually still need money for operational costs or, if they are a charity, they need money to give to their cause. A blog is an excellent way to get the message across to their patrons and interested parties and it should still be written to attract readers and to get more donations from those readers. In this article, Dr Lant explains how you should be doing that to the best effect.

If you want more information about what to write and how to write it, then I would suggest you review some of the other articles in the Blogs and Blogging section of our article directory.

We’ve all done it! Had a craving for something, so strong that we have had to just go out and get the object of our craving.

It may have been Chocolate, one of mine, A Cinnamon Doughnut, just like those that McDonalds used to do, another, or as is the case in this article by Dr Jeffrey Lant, CEO Worldprofit, Peanut Butter, again another of mine!

My craving in relation to Peanut Butter is – a Peanut Butter and Marmalade sandwich on fresh soft thick sliced white bread. The Peanut Butter and Jello you so often hear Americans talking about in TV shows. I love them, especially late at night, you know the time, the worst time, just before you go to bed. To me it’s one of those comfort foods, it fills you up and makes you feel good inside!

In Today’s article Dr Lant talks about ‘Skippy’s Peanut Butter’, a popular brand in the US, but for anyone in the UK growing up in the ’60’s, as I did, it had to be ‘Sun-Pat’ and it also had to be ‘Smooth’. I don’t mind ‘Crunchy’ but I definately prefer ‘Smooth’. There’s something about the texture of ‘Smooth Peanut Butter’ that’s hard to describe but is delicious.

After the week we have had in the UK with all the rioting and violence, it might seem odd to be publishing an article about war, but I’ve published today’s article by Dr Jeffrey Lant, CEO Worldprofit for a reason, well a couple actually.

The first reason is that I thought I already knew a good bit about history but I am learning so much more by reading Dr Lant’s articles, that I wanted to just publish this anyway. I generally do a little more research before publishing these articles and find out all sorts of information I didn’t know before.

Secondly, this article today, which Dr Lant wrote on Tuesday, before he wrote the article yesterday about London burning, highlights just how easy it is for something like the assassination of Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand in June 1914, to spark hugely significant historic events. Events which lead to so much death and destruction.

The parallel for me this week is that the shooting of a man in London on Saturday evening, led to so much destruction and riots in London and other British cities, culminating in deaths and serious injuries.

Thankfully, in the civilised world at least,  these sort of things do not generally result in war anymore, but the threat is always present. It is a tragedy that in some parts of the world, the same cannot be said and even the smallest difference of, usually, religious views can spark acts of terrorism and ultimately war.
