When I woke up early this morning and sat at my desk ready to start work, I was shocked by the news that Steve Jobs, Co-Founder of Apple had died at the age of 56.

Whilst the news of his death has come as a great surprise to many, we should remember that he had been battling with pancreatic cancer for many years. Although he reported that the strain he had was rare and far less aggressive, it should also be noted that the prognosis for pancreatic cancer is usually very poor.

His passing leaves a gapping hole in the computer industry, his vision, innovation, and charismatic style, that created Apple and carried it forward in giant leaps and bounds, may never be seen again. Thank you Steve for passing on your vision to us all, may we all continue to be inspired by your memory.

The Mac faithful, of which I am unashamedly one, can only hope that in the hands of new CEO, Tim Cook, Apple will continue to innovate and inspire others to greater heights.
